Meet our Founder

Teni-Ola Ogunjobi, PhD

Teni-Ola Ogunjobi is Nigerian-American. She gained her passion for engaging intercultural communities through her personal experiences with Nigerian / West African and American communities. She started ICP to support individuals as they navigate their intercultural lives and the intercultural communities developing around them and to bridge communities worldwide. She is an interculturalist and a nonprofit professional and has been influential in areas of conflict management, community engagement, volunteer management, intercultural education, grassroots development, business management and communications/journalism. She has impacted the intercultural refugee community in Metro Atlanta, Georgia for nearly five years. Teni-Ola is the former Director and current Advisor of a nonprofit providing youth development programming for refugee youth. She is the Head of Communications and Community Outreach at CORE in Georgia. She provides education and intercultural trainings for multicultural audiences in community mediation (an Alternative Dispute Resolution method), nonprofit communications, community engagement, and monitoring and evaluation. She spent four years serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali and Senegal, West Africa, and as an intercultural educator and NGO partner in Senegal. Teni-Ola earned a BA in Journalism from Howard University, an MA in International Relations from the University of the Pacific, and a PhD in International Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University. She is committed to serving diverse communities in international and domestic settings and seeks difference in her personal and professional contexts. She values service and is passionate about inspiring the youth and adults to maximize their potential.
